Education and Training
He had an excellent education record while completing his MBBS from the prestigious Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, in 2007. Then he pursued his MS in general surgery at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, Siliguri, in 2012. He had his training in Bariatric surgery from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi and IRCAD Laparoscopic Training Centre, Strasbourg, France.
Professional Career
After successfully completing his MS degree in 2012, Dr. Mainak Pal served as a senior registrar in general surgery at the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. He became a teaching faculty in Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) at SSKM Hospital, Kolkata, mentoring both postgraduate and undergraduate students for 5 years. Thereafter, he joined Peerless Hospital in Kolkata, where he is now an Advanced Bariatric and Laparoscopic surgeon.
